PARADISE: A New Mythology

FRIDAY JUNE 3 | 8PM

SATURDAY JUNE 4 | 2PM & 8PM

Brava Theater, San Francisco

Topsy-Turvy, the nation's premier queer circus showcase, soars to the highest of heights with PARADISE, its 4th annual production and first ever full length narrative show as part of the National Queer Arts Festival. Told through stunning aerial, acrobatic and vogue performances and narrated by the Cosmic Creatrix Honey Mahogany (RuPaul’s Drag Race), PARADISE follows an Angel who falls from a pole that connects heaven to earth. She must navigate a world of gravity, demigods and mysticism on her quest to return home in a tale that evokes a new queer Black Mythology.

Conceived and directed by India Sky Davis, PARADISE will be told in two parts over the next two years. Davis, alongside The Lady Ms Vagina Jenkins and Essence magazine featured aerialist Kiebpoli Calnek, lead a local cast of queer and trans* performers of color in this provocative physical theater production of epic proportions.

PARADISE provided full American Sign Language interpretation by Brandon Kazen-Maddox
